Christian Seltmann’s artistic talent is discovered by an American buyer. In the search for a suitable decoration he chooses a dish designed by the young Seltmann himself. As a result, the Lehmann factory receives a large order for several services. Christian Seltmann is sent to the porcelain making school at Teplitz Schönau, and at the tender age of 26 he is made manager and modeller of the Lehmann factory.
